Doug grew up being the oldest of four siblings to a single father who owned multiple businesses. Being blessed to live on ocean front property, he never took for granted the activities his little beach town offered. In April 2001, while a senior in high school, he was informed that his father had passed at 44 years young by heart attack. His father was healthy, active in sports and in his three teenage children's lives. His father had life insurance in place that helped him and his sisters stay in their home for about four years, paid for college tuition and allowed him to maintain a 3.0+ GPA while working full time. This experience with how life insurance can help protect a family is held closely when speaking with his clients. When the market crashed in 2008, he got into the education industry followed by experience in the diabetes industry to end up back in financial services after being “let go” in 2017. Doug has experience in the financial services industry working for great companies such as MetLife, Primerica and Bankers Life & Casualty while holding a series 6 and 63 securities license.
